Polar Land is one of the most unique biomes and is different from many of the others. Polar Land is found in the Arctic Ocean and the water around Antarctica, the coldest, windiest and driest continent. The Polar Land biome is a marine biome which is rich in nutrients, which comes from all the land around them.
Polar Lands are 98% thick ice sheets and 2% rock. Floating ice sheets consist of 11% of the area continent.
Very few plants are able to live in this kind of weather so there is very little plant life. Animals that live in this type of environment live underwater as it is to cold to live above the ice. Some animals that live there include sea lions, penguins, whales and various species of fish and birds. Polar bears also live in Polar Lands but most of the time they float on ice sheets that have broken off as they aren't as cold as the ice itself.
